A day after Easter…

I almost forgot how wonderful it feels to spend time in nature doing some…”unusual” things like drinking something from a fancy glass or eating Easter eggs 😀 I just did it on the 1st day of Easter, grabbed my tripod and some “snack” and off I went into the woods and I must say that I froze up. Never trust the Finnish sun!

A little adventure never killed anyone!

Before you ask, the choker is from Asos and I’m stunned by its beauty! 😍

And it’s now on sale! Get it while it’s cheap!

Maltese Cross Brooch

I come back on WordPress with a topic that I have never written about or discussed with anyone before: brooches and vintage.

When I was little, I used to stare at my mother’s amber brooch and I remember I used to love looking through it so much that it really calmed me down. It felt like I’m getting lost in an infinite shades of gold and orange. Now I have created an obsession with brooches. Especially during winter, I’m getting really bored of wearing coats for such a long time but adorning them with such a luxurious jewel, it changes the shape and the seam of the boring winter coat. (talking about winter, it’s April and we woke up with snow today 😀 yay!)

A few weeks ago I went to a vintage store and I immediately got captivated by the shape, the rhinestones and the beauty of this cross brooch-pendant that I got. I knew there was something special about it so, I did some research and it is called “Maltese cross brooch-pendant” and it’s vintage. But mine…I guess the last owner cut off the”extra transparent rhinestones” (I don’t know the right therm for them) or it got stuck in the lady’s scarf or probably it has been dropped many times. But still, it is wearable and extremely beautiful! And why do I love vintage so much? Because I carry on the story of a certain piece of jewelry or home decoration. And for me it’s interesting to find out more about what I buy, the history and last owners.

With that being said, I guess it would be a great idea to show you someday my jewelry collection or do some thrift/antique/vintage hauls on my YouTube channel in the near future 😉

The last warm days

I know it’s been a few weeks since I didn’t write here but I’m back!

Suomenlinna – is the place where I always like to go whenever I’m in Helsinki. I got a ticket from the ticket machine at the Market Square and I jumped in the ferry. The journey to the sea fortress takes around 10 minutes but I never count how long it takes because it feels amazing to be on top of the water and to have the wind playing with your hair and seagulls flying above at the same pace with the ferry. It feels like you are one of them. One with the nature!

This time I explored the island a bit more and I have discovered places where I could hide and be alone. Places where I can have the Baltic Sea at the bottom of my feet and then rest in a coffee shop with a hot chocolate and an original Fazer chocolate candy. All these things you can see yourself below. Enjoy!DSC_0109.jpgdsc_0144

And as a blog post ending “delight”, here is a mini travel vlog 🙂 See you next time!

Cheerio, darlings!

Come with me for a walk into the forest

Often I feel the urge to go for a walk into the forest, rest on a stone or somewhere on a big tree root and just listen to the nature. From there I get all the inspiration and also by watching people or listening to their stories.

Sometimes I wonder how is to be the only tree on a distant valley, how lonesome can you feel during winter when no songs are coming out from the tree houses, how silent and neverending days can seem to be when no one is stopping by to tell you the grief or the happiness they are going through. And just watching the little ants coming from one place to another in such a hurry…I wonder what kind of wichcraft are they planning to do. I just look around and wonder..and wonder…

A year and almost two months have passed since I moved to Finland and I still am curious to find out more, to learn more and most of the things still seem new to me. But the little forest behind our building is my escape. Nature is my escape. It’s my inspiration for the music I make. The place where I can rest and let go of all the negativity or pointless drama.

I feel blessed to be able to write a few thoughts from the lap of the nature!

And I was planning for weeks to take this blog to the next level, so get ready to hear and see more from me! From ootd posts, music, adventures, to make-up, hairstyles, product reviews and girly stuff. Also YouTube will explode hopefully soon but until then I have to fix up some things. I’m still filming and taking photographs here and there and making plans for my readers in my agenda 😉
