I watch many vloggers everyday and I get so inspired by them, but sometimes I don’t have the courage to make certain videos. Until this year when I filmed my first ever Vlogmas and it was so much fun!
The thing is that, when I’ll grow older, I wanna look back, relieve memories and be proud of myself. Hopefully YouTube will still exist then.
And here I come with an idea for the dark minded people or for the people that have two personalities (like me): dark and glittery. Since I know myself, I’ve always liked to create a positive/inspirational environment at our home. I truly hate empty walls, especially too much white is…too much! so for me, a comfy home is a home with lots of memories framed, trinkets, antique candle holders, old furniture and music instruments. A place where I go back from work to get inspired. This is how I would describe our home. And for this year, I opted for a 60 cm tree for our bedroom, a tree that I have decorated with my Halloween ornaments. For our living room I chose glitter. But more about that in my next post!
On a dreary day of November, I hopped on a train and one hour later, I found myself in the crowded Helsinki.
I’ve been waiting for this day for so long and I wasn’t even sure that I will make it in time for the Don Rosa meeting but I did!
One cup of tea later and suddenly one of the women who work at the book store (Suomalainen Kirjakauppa) was announcing that Don Rosa has arrived half an hour earlier so we should get in line, purchase the book and automatically we will get a ticket to go and meet the author and illustrator of the stories about Scrooge McDuck, etc.
I felt again like a kid listening to his pleasant voice explaining to me the artwork and other details that he did for Tuomas Holopainen‘s solo album. Later on while I was watching the videos from the meeting, I noticed that my facial expression was like a hyper excited kid’s expression. Just how I actually look when I watch any Disney movie.
The meeting was worth the trip! And now I sit in front of this writing device (aka laptop) and wonder, what would life be without art? Without all these magical things that come out of every artist’s hands?
But I know that all I wanna do in life is ART. Oh! And I don’t wanna grow up. E V E R .
This morning I have been woken up by the mailman who left a notification in our mailbox and I had to wait a few hours to pick it up because it hadn’t arrived at the post office. So, after I did chores around the house and other things to make time go by faster, I finally picked it up and I promised Jekyll Hyde Club that I’m gonna make an unboxing video so here it is!
I took the camera with me on a busy Friday and for the first time, I vlogged a normal day in my life. Actually, every day is different and I don’t do the same things everyday. That’ll be boring.
“My day” – kind of videos are very popular these days and I, myself am watching many YouTubers wandering around their life with a camera. That I consider being very inspiring, although many won’t probably understand. So here comes the question: what am I doing on my channel? Well, most of the time I am documenting my life. In a few years I wanna look back and be proud of myself. I already am but I still have to work on that. I’ve always known that I can do much more. And for example, living abroad, my videos make my loved ones feel like I am there with them and they know what am I doing in a day. So, besides the amount of daily phone calls, videos are always a plus (especially if you are the only child of your parents).
And yes, you might have noticed that I do many things and sometimes I don’t finish what I started. But lately that has changed and I am gonna keep it that way!
For my future videos, if you have any ideas that YOU would want me to do, I kindly ask you, dear reader, to leave your ideas down below in the comment section or on my latest video. ’till next time!
Most of the Finns celebrated Halloween this year on 4th of November and that’s why yesterday when we went to the grocery store, the town was almost empty and a few of the stores were closed. And I was wondering why, until I checked my news feed and my beloved Finnish friends were sharing photos of their outfits and then I realized that all my decorations are now in boxes in our storage room waiting to see the light of the day next year -_- So yeah, I celebrated Halloween when there was still snow outside and it felt like a spooky Christmas to be honest xD
Although many countries don’t celebrate Halloween, I do that since I was in elementary school and I’m loving it! 😀 Our home is already filled up with “mamluks” (as my grandma would call them) and it will be fun to dust the furniture this month, although we use the Halloween knick knacks all year round because I can’t find any inspiration or comfort in a house with empty shelves, empty walls, etc. And yes, you guessed it right. I don’t like minimalist houses.
So here’s my latest video and cheers to my 200 subscribers!
Two years ago I started my journey to Finland and now I can happily say that I permanently live here ❤
I wanted to go somewhere and film something exciting for my readers/subscribers but all my plans have been shattered by the nasty weather…so I ended up in front of my laptop playing this game called “Influent”. While playing, I recorded myself talking nonsense and just having fun failing 😀
Enjoy the video and cheers to two years in Finland!
