And yes, I am planning on releasing an album at some point in this life. Being an independent artist it’s a lot of time consuming. From figuring out recording softwares to the recording process itself, to promoting your music and so many other things, all these require time. Especially when music is not your full time job (for now) and you try to balance your daily job with songwriting. That’s why I won’t be releasing my own music for a while because I want to surprise you with a full album. So a little update for now and a new photo.

Have a great week ahead! ❤

I hope your world is kind

It was a fun process making this cover song. Guessing all the instruments (more or less), singing with a soothing voice and not forcing it a bit, recording, filming, ahh! How wonderful!

This song will always remind me about the “meeting” with the majestic deer while singing out loud on my way home during the first days of spring last year.
If you stuck around with me here, on my blog, you remember that even in the newspaper in my latest interview I mentioned about it:

“I had a very good day at work and I still have the habit of singing on my way home, especially because the road I am walking on is not populated. And as I was singing, on the right side, across the main road, I saw a deer. I was looking at it, I almost did not breathe at all and the moment I took my phone out of my pocket, it ran away.
“If I start singing again, would it return?” I have wondered. And so I did! I started to sing louder than before and the deer returned. ” – it is a beautiful memory that actually happened last year on my way back home from work which I will always remember dearly and if you’re wondering which song I was singing, it was Auri – I hope your world is kind . I was prepared to write a blog post about this fortunate event the moment I got home but I told myself that one day there will be another way to talk about it. And I was right!

I don’t usually make covers but if it shows up on my channel, then you must know that the song means something for me 🙂 Enjoy!

From the country of snow castles straight in the newspaper

In the morning of 15th of January, on the thin pages of the local newspaper from my hometown, I made my appearance. Words beautifully arranged by the talented journalist Daniela Beale, have transformed a simple interview into a real fairytale with actual events from my life.

Once upon a time,
the official biography of the metal band Nightwish, has become the book that started it all, followed by trusting the receiver in me by contacting the “Nightwish teacher” (as people like to call him) Plamen Dimov, whom I found mentioned in the lines of the very first pages of the book.
My first musical journey to Finland where I begun taking roots, meeting my other half on the magical realm two years later and knowing since a young age that one day I will live here, not even having a clue where my “home” is on the map at that age, are a few of my life events that had been written about in the first lines of page 8 of the newspaper.

While reading the article, I get emotional. It feels like I’ve done something right in this life and that I am not alone. There are people in this world who support my music, my creative life and who understand me better than I can imagine.

The interview/fairytale ends with my most honest words:

“I am like Peter Pan. I do not want to grow up ever! I want to be left in my world because there I am close to happiness. But to know my mother, father and grandmother healthy, that is my supreme happiness!”

And now I want to thank to all the people who keep encouraging me to follow my dreams, the people who are always eagerly waiting for a new tune from me and of course to Crai Nou newspaper that has always been very supportive ever since I was 15 years old and back then I was releasing my bilingual poetry book. THANK YOU!

Fairfarren, dear song!

Creating you was such an adventure! And seeing how much love you are receiving from my listeners makes it even more special!

Yesterday I have released a song called “Only winter can bring you home”. It has been before on my YouTube channel but in a shorter version, bad quality and vocals missing. Now after working almost 2 months on it alone, I can proudly say that it’s complete! I hope that you will include it in your Christmas playlist 😉
’till next time!

*and stay tuned because the song will soon be available on Spotify, iTunes, etc.

The sirens are calling for me

I didn’t think that I will be able to do another cover song any sooner, but I did it! This time it’s a song that I’ve been obsessively listening to when I was around 16 years old and it was so fun recording and filming it!

The ears are made by me out of polymer clay and they are not equal but this is what happens when things are done in a hurry.

Without any further ado, here’s my “Deep silent complete” cover, originally performed by the well-known Finnish symphonic metal band, Nightwish. Enjoy!

Keeping the Christmas spirit alive in January

I don’t think I even wished you all a good start of 2018 so Happy New Year everyone!

My first post of this year will be a carol because outside is snowing, fairy lights are still all around the neighborhood and my Christmas tree is not in the storage room yet. Down below you have my dark version of the Ukrainian carol called “Carol of the Bells” (also known as “Ukrainian Bell Carol”) but most of the people know it from the “Home Alone” movie and this just makes me watch it again and again *cough*.

Although the song has been recorded about a month ago, yesterday I went into the forest and froze my fingers off while taking photos for the digital artwork that I also did last night (it took me more than 7 hours). I used to spend my nights playing with my graphic tablet and creating digital fantasy worlds, but at some point I just stopped but because the “New Year’s resolution” is quite popular nowadays, here’s my resolution for this year: to continue creating photomanipulations. What’s your resolution/s for this year?

Adventures in The North

I remember it was my first October in Finland. On a cold (very early) morning, I sat on our balcony and stared at the sky because the constellations were visible and while pointing with my finger at them trying to remember their names, I found myself suddenly humming a melody which I’ve never listened to before.
And pretty much this sums up how my beloved song “Adventures in The North” was born. On the same morning, a demo has been recorded and a few months later, I had the pleasure to work with two wonderful friends/musicians that gave a better sound and a special touch to my song. So, in three days when Finland celebrates 100 years of independence, my lyric & making-of video will be up on my YouTube channel!

EN: The official lyric & making-of video of my first song “Adventures in The North” will be released on YouTube on 6th of December! Stay tuned!
